For the third consecutive year, Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam will play host to 80 underprivileged junior golfers who will spend Saturday learning fundamentals and healthy habits at her academy at Reunion Resort.

“Annika Junior Day” features a morning session with 40 youths from the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association, followed by an afternoon session with an equal number of Boys & Girls Club members from Central Florida.

At both sessions, the Annika Academy team will provide instruction at three golf skills stations and one fitness station. The groups will gather together at midday for lunch and a clinic by Sorenstam.

The event is the creation of Bob Baxter and his late wife Holly, a junior golf advocate who died of brain cancer five years ago. Following her death, the Baxter family made a significant donation to establish Annika Junior Day and keep it funded.
